Extranets
An extranet is a website that is normally designed and configured with restricted access to a closed-user group outside of the school – typically parents, but also including other significant stakeholders such as Governors.
Extranets unite a community with a specific shared interest and act as a conduit for a flow of information. They are the perfect tool for:
- keeping databases of parents and staff complete with contact details
- maintaining specific calendars of activity
- sharing news with parents
- communicating urgent or important announcements
